Delete your account
You can ask Vanguard Network to delete your account and its data at any time.
How to request deletion
- If you pay for a membership, cancel it first on the Membership page so you are not charged again.
- Email vanguardnetworkhq@gmail.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Vanguard Network account deletion request”.
- We confirm the request with you and delete the account within 30 days, then email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account and email address.
- Your profile: name, neighborhood, photo, bio, offers, needs and barter items.
- Your availability, saved schedules, barter requests, swaps, calendar bookings and chat messages.
- Badges, referral records, verification requests and tester sign-up details.
What is kept, and for how long
- Payment records held by Stripe (our payment processor) are kept as required by tax and financial law, typically up to 7 years.
- Reports about safety or rule violations may be kept for up to 1 year to protect other members.
- Encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days of deletion.
